I have audio/video sync issues. *by K***N on January 27, 2012* Update 4/13/2012: I'm still thrilled with this unit. I've started using it with my iPad (3) and I have no audio/video sync issues. So it looks like the sync issues I mention below are limited to my Amaze 4G phone.Original Review:I purchased this for use at the gym after accidentally sending my rather expensive and fragile cell phone (Amaze 4G) flying into the moving machinations of treadmills and elliptical machines a few times when I caught the headphone cable with my swinging arms. I've had mine for a few months now and can say, without a doubt, that this is money very well spent (I ended up buying another one for my wife too).Pairing with the phone was a simple affair.I tried the included headphones once. They didn't fit well for my ears (especially during exercise). But I didn't buy this for the headphones and you shouldn't either. In fact, I assumed they were throw-away, which they are. I use my Etymotic ER-4p headphones. (So in case it isn't obvious yet, you can use any headphones you want with this unit.)Several other reviewers have noted that the audio adjustment on this unit is awkward (it is a touch-sensitive slide strip). I do not find it awkward. It works fine for me. That being said, I rarely adjust the volume on the unit (I keep it near full volume, then use the volume adjustment on the phone...when needed).Others have mentioned that range wasn't very good. Maybe that is more a symptom of a weak transmitter on the source device (the phone...this unit simply being a receiver). I have no range problems at all. I've wandered as far as 20 or 30 feet from my phone (scary thing to do at a gym) without loosing the signal.Battery life is excellent. I tend to charge it up every week, but have never come close to running out.I have not used the built in FM radio.I do use the built-in microphone when I receive calls. It works fine, but you do have to bring the unit up to your mouth for it to pick up your voice well (in a noisy gym). I usually have it clipped to my waistband.The only problem I have (and honestly I suspect that it is my phone more than this unit) is that when I watch video content on the phone the audio lags the video by upwards of a second (and this doesn't happen with the headphones plugged directly into the phone). That long of a delay is not tolerable if you're actually watching the video, but is tolerable if you're mostly just listening the audio. If I were using this setup on a bus or plane, I wouldn't be happy (but I also wouldn't really need a wireless connection...would I). So in end, it's not a big deal. Most times when you really need a wireless connection, watching video (on a small screen) isn't feasible.To sum it all up. Yes, I'd recommend this to anyone who wants a wireless audio solution (and piece of mind at the gym)...as long as you don't need it for video, or can tolerate a large audio lag. Sound quality is good, battery life is good, the unit is very small and unobtrusive. ### ⭐⭐⭐ Excellent product, only minor complaints *by G***L on October 13, 2014* *UPDATE: I would no longer recommend this device. Look through my reviews! : ) Original review below.*EXCELLENT PRODUCT! I use this at work, every single day, it allows me to listen to music on my computer, without being physically tethered thereto. It works very well, I stream my music over bluetooth from a player on my machine. The sound quality is really good.The reasons I'm giving this 4 stars and not 5 are few, but they are significant. I am on my second one of these and am about to buy my third. The first lasted about a year, this second one is still going strong, but the battery is starting to die a bit quicker than it used to.That leads me to my first, and most important complaint. It seems that over a long period of time, the battery life gets shorter. I assume this is to be expected to a degree, but it is still a bit frustrating. I used to be able to get through an entire day without issue, but now it seems to want to die on me around 3 or 4pm every day. NOTE: I am not listening to music for 8 hours solid - it does get paused quite a bit when I have to deal with clients or other employees.My second complaint is the clip. It is not very solidly attached to the device itself, I have unintentionally popped it off many times when going around a corner or something like that. It's not a huge deal, but if you loose the little spring that makes it work, you're SOL. Good luck trying to find that little tiny thing on an ugly office carpet, by the way!! I kept my old broken device (see final complaint below) and am now very happy I did so, as the other day I knocked the clip off and it did break the plastic tabs that make the clip attach to the device. I ended up using the clip from the old broken device and it has worked fine up to today.My final and perhaps least relevant complaint, which may not even apply to this device as a whole and in general, is that my first unit ended up just dying on me suddenly and without warning. It just stopped working one day, no sound would come out of the headphones. Perhaps I just got a bad unit, perhaps it was something I did to the unit during usage that caused it to stop working. Who knows, I did have the thing for a full year before it went down.So yeah, all in all I really like this device. The price keeps going higher and higher, though!
