Review: Wrong threads for '01 Accord, trips chk eng light - I installed this sensor & after 2 turns, it went in a little hard. I drove 15mi & the CEL was back on for the knock sensor (& front O2 sensor). I removed the ks with all hard turns with the engine warm. After it came out, aluminum was on the sensor threads, & the ks totally destroyed, along with the engine internal threads. I compared the threads of the old sensor to the destroyed sensor & the threads visually appeared different (possibly SAE/USS?). The old ks threads were 12-1.25mm & the destroyed ks threads appeared finer than that. Needless to say, I ended up taking the car to my mechanic to fix since I couldn't even get the right tap quickly & locally.
