And you'll need to spray daily for a while even if it doesn't rain if you want to keep the squirrels at bay. Spray daily at least for a week. Even if no rain. But definitely, after rain and things dry off. **Q: I have squirrels in my soffit, will it remove them from there?** A: Squirrels don't like the smell of Mace, but they may put up with it. I have a pair that have a nest in my tree. They continue to go up and down, but they don't come on my patio. **Q: So, with so many bad reviews...are the good reviews paid?** A: I didn't get paid to write this. I just purchased it for the third time. I have had trouble with squirrels chewing through outdoor lighting wires, etc., and this works. Not 100%, but better than everything else I've tried.
