This is a four-Corgi household, and two of them bark a lot. One barks just to bark. So, when a neighbor (nicely and rightfully) complained, I did a lot of research and selected this brand. It took less than a day for Abe and Emmy to catch on once the collars were on them. Ah, "the sounds of silence"! It's a quality, sturdy product and being able to recharge it rather than buying batteries was a big plus for me. Two observations I'd like to share: (1) one reviewer remarked that the unit was too big for her small dog. Emmy is petite and 22 pounds, and the unit is a bit overwhelming on her neck, too. (2) The unit went off once when Abe shook his head, and once when another dog standing near him barked. Changing the sensitivity eliminated the unit going off when he shakes his head, but not when a nearby dog barks. All in all, this was money well spent! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5.0 out of 5 stars An Effective Training Tool! *by N***S on Reviewed in the United States on October 11, 2019* Our baby, like all human babies, is a mess. Especially when he eats. And the delicious erupting food volcano that is the baby’s highchair is irresistible to our adorable lab. We have been trying to train our dog to stay out of the dining room in our house (where the baby eats) with limited success. The food is simply more motivating for him than our yelling. We needed to up our game, and so we brought in this bad boy. We’ve found this shock collar to be an effective training tool, but as with all training the key is consistency. My wife and I take turns keeping an eye out to ensure that every time he is sneaking into the dining room he is greeted with the same beep, vibrate, shock sequence. He quickly learned to bolt at the first beep and I think with a few more weeks of training we will have him into shape.User Experience: 9/10This product works great. The adjustment levels are more than enough and there are tons of features. I only have a couple minor complaints. First, sometimes it takes a second or two for it to snap out of sleep mode. In those moments when your dog is doing the wrong thing and you want to correct them *now* it seems like you are waiting forever for the collar to respond to your button presses. But it really only takes about a second. My other minor complaint is that changing the channel on the remote will make it stop working, and it is easy to do if you press that channel button by accident. This has only happened once but it took me a minute to figure out why it suddenly wasn’t working, and those were very important minutes!Build Quality: 8/10The collar itself seems solid, but the remote is thinner/lighter than I expected and made of hard plastic. This hasn’t proven to be an issue in use, and the lightness and clip on the back make it very easy to carry on the outside of my pocket all day. I barely notice it is there. Battery life has been great for us, but we let it charge every night to keep the battery topped up and to give our dog’s neck a rest. I appreciated the inclusion of the lightbulb shock tester, which lets you check that the shock is working without shocking yourself, but I love my dog and wanted to know what he would feel so I shocked myself anyways (ouch!).Overall this product has been a good value and has proven to be a valuable training tool! ### ⭐⭐⭐ 3.0 out of 5 stars Mixed Feelings *by B***G on Reviewed in the United States on October 8, 2019* Returned.I really liked the visible light on the transmitter and the flashlight option on the remote. I also like the distinct/audible alert noise. (Much diff than his previous collar). Cons: the fabric collar wouldn’t stay tight, delayed response from remote to transmission-as it would ‘go to sleep quickly’. Most times we’d have to ‘wake’ it up, and the shock option never seemed to affect him. I know it was sending a signal, but no response from him while on walks. He is leash reactive and once he has his mind set....he will grumble/bark/pull like there’s no tomorrow. After many attempts at different settings, it just wasn’t worth it to keep it. If your pup is less stubborn, it will prob work well.
