You have to click the button several times to get it to turn off as each click cycles through the brightness settings. I prefer headlamps that remember your last brightness setting and you hold the button to cycle through the brightness settings. No lockout feature to prevent accidental activation when its in a pocket or in a backpack. I put it in my truck as an emergency light. Would make a good loght if I had to change a flat at night. Disclosure: Rough Work gave me this head lamp for free. Insanely bright and has 3 different light settings. It’s very comfortable, which is a big plus a lot of the times these things are bulky and scratchy. This is soft and light. Takes 3 triple A’s which are included, you’ll need to pull out the tab in the batteries. Seriously happy.
