As I assembled the unit, I was feeling very good about the quality of the pieces. I assembled the unit by myself in a little over 2 hours. Since I was planning on using the side compartments to house my smaller herb gardens, I decided to apply a film to the glass doors to diffuse the light from the gardens, and also drilled small holes in the back panels to run the power wires to each garden. I finally had the unit completely assembled, and was very happy with how it looked. In fact, I was actually impressed with how good it looked!Now it was time for me to go over all the panels to remove any stickers from visible surfaces. Everything was going great and the stickers were all peeling off easily. At least, until I got to the sticker they placed on the top surface of the unit. This sticker did NOT want to come off. When I tried to peel it off like the others, just a small corner of the paper came up, leaving adhesive and the back of the paper on the surface. Undaunted, I got out my pledge and sprayed the area down and let it soak for about 30 seconds and proceeded to try and wipe it off. While the top layer of the paper with the printing on it came off, all the glue residue and back of the paper still remained. After repeating the process several times, most of the visible paper came off, but the majority of the glue residue still remained. After over an hour trying to scrub off the glue residue, I resorted to trying to scrape it off with my thumbnail. I didn't manage to remove *any* of the residue, but I did put a nice new little scratch where I tried to remove the residue. Finally, I went online to try and find some tips on how to remove sticker glue residue from wood. It seemed to come down to mineral oil (of which I have none), or rubbing alcohol (which I do have in my house.) So I took a cottonball with some rubbing alcohol on it, and tried to remove the residue. Not only did the residue not get removed, but the stain color had a reaction with the alcohol making it very shiny in that spot which now highlights the fact that all the alcohol managed to do was discolor the wood. So now I'm shopping for contact paper that will hopefully match the color so that the top of my brand new piece of furniture doesn't have to look like crap. All because the manufacturer placed a sticker on the top of the unit that simply is not designed to be removed. Why they chose to place that sticker there instead of on a back panel (like all the other stickers I didn't have to concern myself with removing) is beyond me, but well, here we are.Obviously, with the holes I've already drilled, sending it back isn't an option (not that it's even possible to pack one of these things back up once it's out of the box!), and since the sticker wasn't technically a defect, I doubt they'd send me a new top, so I'm stuck with it. So do yourself a favor, save yourself a headache and buy from a manufacturer who doesn't put non-removeable stickers on *any* surface that's meant to be exposed once the unit is assembled.A note on the sturdiness, I rated it a 3. As I assembled it, I thought it *could* be quite sturdy, expecting that it would possibly be a 5 out of 5, but all of the dowel holes are way overdrilled (width), so the dowels just kind of fall into their holes and flop around. I did try to use wood glue on a couple of them during assembly, but frankly, there was too much space for glue alone to overcome. After assembly, while trying to clean the sticker residue from the top, I could clearly notice there is more side-to-side 'looseness' (wobble) than there should be (which *could* potentially be fixed with either fatter dowels or narrower dowel holes).So to sum it up, while I was initially very happy during building the unit, and thought it was going to be quite sturdy and attractive, but between the unit's lack of sturdiness combined with the asinine placement of a non-removeable sticker, I'm left disappointed. So as much as I wanted to love this unit, and as I was assembling it, I really believed I *was* going to love it, I wind up not loving it. Instead I've had to come here, disappointed (and baffled by that sticker's placement) and write a novella to recommend you look elsewhere for a different unit. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Not bad for the money spent. *by D*** on Reviewed in the United States πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ on May 26, 2020* The packaging seemed good, although there were a couple small scratches when I took it out of the box. There are lots of parts! It went easy at first, and then you have to put wooden dowels in, and like another review said, they tend to just fall out when you are placing the two pieces together. You'll need a second person to hold the back pieces in place when placing the sides on, or everything just falls apart. I had a hard time lining up the holes, especially on top. One side is not flush so you can see a gap. It seems sturdy once together. Some of the wood is particle board, so be careful when lining up screws, or the wood will crack. I would recommend when moving it, to lift from the bottom, so the top piece doesn't loosen. It also has a varnish smell at first, but nothing that is overwhelming. I think it went ok overall, just be patient!, as with anything that needs to be put together. It took me a while. The quality is better than some, but not the same as something you'd buy already put together. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Mine didn’t have glass doors... oh well it’s great anyways *by C***N on Reviewed in the United States πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ on October 22, 2019* Honestly this one surprised me, I got it and the doors were solid wood! Not expecting that.... :/Other then that, incredibly solid when assembled!Assembly; you WILL need help when putting together the back, at least someone to hold it steady while you place all the back pieces on top of each other and then slide on the last piece that will hold it together. If you try it on our own, you problems will success, but it will be frustrating.Instructions, okay, about what you can expect.Biggest issue!!! There are screws that will be need to screwed into the finished wood.
