Because the colors look vibrant, promise unique effects, or my glass-half-full heart believes that this time it will be a different outcome. Yet I end up throwing away about 85-90% of what I've bought, for the same reasons that I bought them! The colors are dull, the "unique effect" doesn't work in the real world, or they're just plain useless, because: they're sticky, or they don't stick to them skin even with primer & foiling technique, or worse yet, they ruin my skin (making it dry, oily, break out, blister, or swell up like a painful balloon!)
