There is natural variation in diameter and bore of each straw. There is no doubt you are using bamboo, and they will float a bit in the glass, but they are a good substitute for both glass and plastic. I use straws to drink water, so I don't have heavy cleaning needs, but they come with a cleaning brush. The seller, David, and the four-legged CEO Kuma were very nice and communicative. Overall, shipment and delivery were quick and snappy, the straws are durable and not snappy. They are very very light and easy to clean with the brushes that come with them. Highly recommend. Don't leave the bamboo in the liquid too long as it will swell a little bit but that's a given with any bamboo straw.
