I have a machine that is double-threaded and the stitches are not secure.** A: There is only one spindle for the thread spool. It is designed for only a single thread. I have tried to double thread this machine using a double needle. The second "spool" on top was actually a bobbin set in the bobbin winder. The timing and position of the threads were wrong and a secure stitch was not the result. Singer makes a machine that appears to have a place for two spools, but not this brand. This little machine does a good job.
