Seems like there was defective threading which would give out when attempting to tighten. You can see by the picture that it would go in straight up until it needed to seal together with the o-ring, then it would angle.Update 1: 9/2/19Seller politely contacted me and offered to send a replacement. Updating rating and will review the replacement. Things happen and the seller has taken a very positive step in correcting the issue.Final Update! 9/9/19I received the replacement filter and the two fittings were able to be threaded and tightened perfectly.
