I hate mules. So no bueno. Funny thing is that this time it was the strap on the right shoe that snapped. So if I wasn't anxious about the snapping straps I would just take the right shoe from my first pair and the left shoe from my second pair and walk around like nothing happened. But - yeah, I'm a teensy bit nervous just thinking about it. So I'm gonna return both and maybe get a larger size... Not sure. Tl;dr: Love the shoes - hate the snapping straps. Size Up?----------Love these shoes! They are gorgeous - thick leather, unique pattern. However, I had to return b/c one part of the left strap snapped right off while I was walking. Funny thing is that my left foot is a smidge smaller than my right, yet the strap broke on that shoe. Go figure. The straps were tight when I received it, but figured that since they're made out of leather that they would stretch accordingly. Nope! One snapped. Only wore my shoes to several places for the day, so this is likely not due to overuse. Getting a replacement pair. I fear that as they stretch a bit the heal strap will not keep them on. A shame -- because they look beautiful. The irony - I bought them for an upcoming trip to Spain. Picture is exactly what they looked like.They are a little tight , but the product info did say they would stretch.
