I purchased three cartons each containing 200 screws, these were re-packaged in an outer corrugated case much too large to restrain the contents. In additionno air bags or paper wadding was used to stop the contents from sliding around, to further ensure that the contents would be eventually damaged, the outer case ends were only tucked in, not sealed by taping. This shipment was expected to survive the journey to New Zealand!!.The end result of this inept packaging was that two of the cartons burst open and the outer case was unable to contain the contents, resulting in the loss of twenty eight screws.Oh by the way, the screws worked really great, I would order again if I could guarantee they would be packaged correctly, the screws deserved at least four stars. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Counter sink in Malamine for chip free start. *by K***O on Reviewed in the United States on March 7, 2017* I used these for a Melamine project. They will self bore but it takes a while for the screw to penetrate the hard Melamine service and I got too much screw wobble for a straight install. Also the head will bore into the wood and counter sink, but chip the Melamine in the process. For these reasons I countered bored the top surface. Never pre-drilled the bottom board and not one slit. These will be my go to screw for Melamine / particle board and maybe many other materials. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Perfect Screw and Won't Split! *by D***1 on Reviewed in the United States on April 7, 2014* I found the Spax #8 – 1-3/4” Slender Head MDF Screw to be a perfect screw for my MDF and have found that it truly doesn’t split! I gave the Spax screw product five stars. These screws are a time saver and really increase my work production. I have used these screws for several years now and I stand by them. The star drive is machined well and keeps the screw steady as it drives it in accurately where I want it.
