I keep it on my altar (which is white) and it looks great there. I was skeptical about the white with the "khaki" color rim but it's not as dark as it appeared. It's very well made. It holds the inscense firmly, although it's a bit tricky to remove the remaining piece once fully burned. I use Morning Star incense which does not have a wood piece on the end. These would make a great gift and if I had use for it, I'd buy more!
