The cat looks to be a good part for the price. The factory heat shields were engineered for a reason and should be used but will not work with this cat. I did not install the part because of this but will keep incase I need to replace the OE. My original cat was not broke inside but throwing a code. I remove the cat and filled with water and detergents and set over night. Flushed and reinstalled, no code so far. If I need to use this cat I will weld on attachment point for upper shield and modify or custom build a shield for the lower. The price of a OE cat is half the value of the car so that won't happen. Other a/m cats come with one heat shield at the cat at double or triple the price. I think the SX4 is a great car, I purchased for a adventure vehicle because of the drive options 4x4, AWD, 2wd. Not my daily driver. Bad valve seals and 160K miles is what caused the cat problem.
