It doesn't smear like most non-waterproof mascara does when my eyes water, but it does come off with slightly soapy or hot water in large clumps - no scrubbing required, so no real eyelashes come off with it. It does flake a little bit, so I just need to remember to wipe under my eyes every so often. The flakes are tiny, not big and noticeable, and I haven't found a mascara that doesn't shed a little bit.It is my new favorite mascara, and it came with two tubes for the price of one drugstore version.
