Review: Replaced iPool Pump/Filter. What a difference - The Filter Pump I got with the iPool was (as many reviewers have said)a joke. You could barley feel any water flow in the inlet and outlets of the pool. But thanks to upgrading to the Intex 56637EG, the water flow is more like a real filter pump should be and is very strong. I am a bit confused as to why someone would buy the 56637E without a fault breaker for more money, but to each his/her own. This is a very strong pump, but I have ordered a second as back up. Oh yeah, one more thing, when cleaning the (A) filter, you can actually remove the filter with the pump running, but not with the pump off because when the pump is running, water will only enter at the bottom of the filter well; when the pump is off, pressure from the pool, forces the filter well to fill up. Also, when cleaning the filter, it may look clean (white) but don't let that fool you, as most of the sediment is trapped in the inside folds of the filter where you can't see it; just spray off the filter and out comes brown stuff you would never see by just looking at the filter. Addendum: After running this pump/filter for two seasons (my seasons are about 8 months long as I live in the desert) for an average of 6 to 8 hours a day, I can say this is a very strong pump and I have had no problems with it. Something else I have learned about the filters, is that you don't need a bunch of them, as I have been running off the same filter for the two years, I just unscrew the top as the unit is running, spray off the filter, put it back in, close the lid (not to tight), turn off the power, unscrew the air vent and let all the trapped air out, and then start up the pump again. Addendum 1: I have been using this Pump/Filter for over three years now with NO PROBLEMS. Intex has a new number for this Pump/Filter; it is: 28637EG Addendum 2: This is the start of the 4th year on this pump. I ran the pump for a few days, and I noticed the GFI was tripping, after four or five restarts, the pump impeller started to make an uneven sound, and then it just stopped. I will use the back up pump I have, and have ordered another back up. At $45.00, three years of service is acceptable. I disassembled the bad unit, and the impeller had no damage, so the motor windings (potted) went out. I pulled the impeller and plastic coated magnet (all one unit) out, and anything else I could use for spare parts, and installed the new pump. Also, at minimum before you toss the old unit, clip the extension cord and GFI plug, as the 25ft cord and plug are worth about half what you are spending on the whole pump!

**Q: Can I use this pump for Intex swim center family pool 120in x72in x22in?**
A: : Hi, if you are talking about the 3 ring rectangle pool yes u can use this and here's how,  so the intake hose needs to be lower in the pool and the outtake just needs to be in there somewhere . My husband made something pool friendly to hold both hoses in the pool we take them out during play. You will not need to keep this filter on any longer then 30 to 40 mins depending on if u have the pool filled all the way up. We wash the filter out weekly depending on use. I'm sure it's not recommended however this saves us from having to waste alot of water all summer long. We fill it up once and empty at the end of the season. We do use a very small amount of Chlorine if it starts to get funky to clear it up but only a very tiny bit does the job. We use more in our hot tub then in this pool.
So yes this filter is not made for the pool but if you are handy and creative you most certainly can use it with the pool. I also recommend if u do this to invest in a skimmer and a rechargeable pool vac. Kids will be kids and they will bring small things in the pool . Ours stays clean all summer long

**Q: Does this filter come with hoses and what are the diameter of the hoses that it comes with?**
A: Yes it does come with the hoses, clamps, filter, and everything that you need to use it.  I am not sure of the diameter of the hoses.  It works really well for a 14' x 48" pool.

**Q: Which hoses are the intake and the output? The top or bottom hose?**
A: Top hose is the intake, bottom is the output

**Q: Im getting percolation in the hoses and canister is way low on water i shut power off and the canister fills again what up with that? thanks Steve**
A: Is there a little fitting on top of filter if so run pump with little top of until water comes out then screw back in

The Filter Pump I got with the iPool was (as many reviewers have said)a joke. You could barley feel any water flow in the inlet and outlets of the pool.
