The shield works well keeping the wind off my chest. I'm 5'9"-5'10" depending on the morning and this works as expected. You do feel slightly more wind on your face (though it might be the same wind as always just now I don't feel it on my chest so it feels slightly more). Either which way, I'm happy and satisfied for now. What's nice is that you have the mounts which you can use with MANY other manufacturers of shields so it'll be a simple swap if I ever decided to go for a taller shield. The instructions are pretty straight forward and you can have this installed in 15-20 minutes. You'll need a size 4 and 6 Allen/hex wrench and a size 10 wrench or socket. If you have a size 6 hex socket it'll be even easier. Watch the torque/tightness! The shield is slightly smoked so it actually blends nice with the dark of the frame. I'll start by saying that I am 5'10" and on a star Stryker with stock seat and handlebars. For local riding, I could do without it. It puts the wind right on my eyes, which means that if I don't have a helmet on, the wind will pull off my riding glasses. If I am wearing my helmet, the wind is directly on the wind screen and makes a lot of noise, partly I assume because it is a modular helmet. Lots of creeking and whistleing. On the highway, it's really the same problems as above, but it does a whole lot to keep the wind off of your chest, which means less hand fatigue from hanging on at high speeds for long periods of time. Overall, the windshield looks great on the bike, but I would suggest a really nice helmet to keep noise down. I believe that a couple of inches taller and it would be perfect.
