I purchased these for metal detecting and after lots of research, the only contenders were these or a pair if UF Pro's at considerably more cost. The elastic waist is ace, the cut just right and more pockets than you'll ever know what to do with. The material appears to be hard wearing but light. The only reason I haven't given this five stars is the hem tie tapes which I'm not sure about. I will re-review after thorough field testing.
