It doesn't have the really hard cardboard in the rim and the fabric is very soft, like a T-Shirt and not the traditional canvas. Other differences - an elastic band to secure it to your head instead of the traditional fastener and sweat absorbing fabric on the inside band. That being said I didn't feel it on my head at all. Ran 4 miles in the blistering sun after a 30 mile ride. I noticed that the lighter colour on the underside of the brim actually helped me to feel a tad cooler. Not sure if that was the intended purpose but not having a black heat absorbing brim actually helps a whole heap. Not sure how it will stand up to the washing machine, but I'm taking it with me to a half Ironman this weekend so may just hand wash it to be on the safe side. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great for walking in Mississippi in June/July *by S***N on Reviewed in the United States on July 8, 2019* I love this visor headband.
