We are not only using it for storage of shoes, but it is also good for sitting on when we need to put the shoes on. Now that we are getting older, it's a bit tougher to get shoes on. So having this to sit on really helps when it comes time to put our shoes on. We place it next to the door going to the garage because that's where we usually go in & out. Works perfectly in our space & its not bulky. It is made well and sturdy. My hubby is a bit overweight and this holds his weight just fine. It has two levels that you can put the shoes on. The metal frame underneath doesn't seem cheap either. It is easy to assemble, it took me less than an hour to put it together. The bench is beautiful and functional, I think it looks really good and brings a rustic charm.
