**Q: How blue are these lamps? I'm hoping for just a light tint of blue.**
A: I would call them light blue.  They are fairly transparent as well.  They are definitely not a bright blue of any shade. (I love them!)

**Q: Would these nautical onion lamps look small as nightstand lamps? Are they more of an accent lamp for a dresser? I wish they showed them in a room sett**
A: They are beautiful on a nightstand. The shades are not the quality of the lamp. I covered with burlap and put cute cord around top and bottom. Awesome.

**Q: where are they made?**
A: Sticker on base says China.  We love them.

**Q: What color are the shades? Is it possible to use the lamps for reading?**
A: Shades are cream color ... as far as reading I guess it would depend on what watt bulb you use

Nice lamps but whomever put the glass base together at the factory should be fired as they didnt get the glass halves seated correctly in the base so the glass bulb parts are cantered and I have to make time to take them all apart and redue.

These arrived well packed and in good shape. The lights themselves are a bit smaller than I had imagined, but after placing them on the nightstands in the bedroom they were a good fit and were actually perfectly sized. Had we ordered these for the living room I may have sent them back, but in a bedroom they work very well. The shades are an "interesting" color as noted in some of the other reviews. They look a lot better lit up than they do off so we ultimately decided against replacing the shades.
