A: This is not a thin blade like you would normally find on a filet knife. This knife has the same general shape, but is manufactured with a much thicker spine that is approximately 1/8 inch wide.  It's a strong stiff blade, very useful for heavy cutting.

Like everyone else has already said it doesn't have a sheath and one doesn't seem to be available for it anymore . If that doesn't bother you it's a very good knife for the money. Nice and sharp and handle is a hard rubbery material. I'm using it for kitchen camp knife.
