Review: 5 stars but CAUTION! - Now that I have your attention, I give it 5 stars for what it is, nice quality, easy to assemble, and seems well built, as well built as the "C" brand one from China as well, and a good value coming with 2 mounts, as well as a positive locking system. Now the downside, and it's not terrible, but could be a deal breaker for some... The mounting system, while rock solid, is also about double in thickness as the "C" brand at the rail, so when you mount it on your rail with an optic, you may not have enough clearance to make it work. It uses a manual button operated lock tab setup, unlike the "C" which uses a ball bearing that lightly touches holes in the rail mount piece, this locks much more solid, but at the cost of being quite thick. I have mine on a Ruger AR556 with a Bushnell 1x4 AR223 optic, and with the cantilever mount, i had to mount it to the rear, the basket bracket is generous enough in length to allow a rear mounting position, but because of the eyepiece diameter, i can only hit the first "click" and the basket winds up about 2+ inches away from the ejection port. However, running my first 60 rounds out, only a couple of shells failed to land in the basket, just falling next to the firearm on the bench, as the opening in the basket seems decent sized. I experienced no problem with the material of the basket "melting", in fact I had 0 shell stickage, in comparison to my "C" brand, which does have some hot case sticking from time to time. Overall, I will stick with the 5 stars, and would likely buy again, just bear in mind if you run a scope, you might not get a fit, unless your tube sits really high (over a solid 1/2" of clearance above the rail) Oh, and a tip, just like the "C" brand, to prevent the basket from drifting back and forth on the rail, use loctite purple on the screws vs, overtightening them, the mounts are good quality, but those little screws do not take gorilla torque any better than anyones else's, the clamp works, but the screws on any of these type of baskets can work loose from vibration over time allowing them to drift, but purple is low torque and works well for most screws of this size, and allows you to loosen them to move the basket position if need be...
Review: It works great and the quick release mount is really convenient - I used to use the Caldwell velcro-on brass catcher. Over time that one tends to change shape and sag and I tend to have issues with brass not fully ejecting when using that one. So I needed a brass catcher that was center mounted and while searching through desertcart I spotted this one. Yes it costs twice as much but this is what you get PROS: (1) a CENTER-mounted brass catcher that doesn't flex downward or bend or what have you (2) a large mouth with a small bag and a rigid frame, perfectly sized and a big improvement over the velcro product (3) ADJUSTABLE position so you can move the basket forward or backward depending on the gun, your optic, the ejection port, etc., (4) TWO mounting plates so the net can be swapped easily between systems as needed without having to wrench it off and on every time, (5) more mounting plates available online for $9.99 of which I ended up buying two more. (5) It works flawlessly and does not interfere with operation. CONS: (1) Yeah its costs more than other solutions (2) If you have a large optic mount you may have issues getting the net in the right spot (3) The mounts are made to be low profile but they're still not low enough to clear a scope tube, the adjusting ring, or the objective bell. I have a very large scope and it sits high on an A3 flat top receiver so I can get the mount to notch on the first setting (furthest out). This actually works just fine even though it leaves a pretty good gap between the net and the ejection port. Still this also makes this less flexible than the cheaper one. Lucky for me I was able to make it work. I also tend to carry both this one and the cheap one in my range bag in case this won't work on the system I'm using. Conclusion - Yeah, I was wary because the Caldwell model has served me relatively well for years, but having made the jump, this is a significant improvement. If you don't have any issues in terms of optics mounting, you will appreciate how convenient this catcher is, and even more so if you're a reloader. I would without a doubt purchase this again, twice, on Sunday, in the snow, uphill, both ways. If you collect/police your brass, this is one of the new essentials.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great brass catcher at the price.
*by C***A on April 8, 2025*

No issues at all... no untapped screw holes like previous reviews mentioned. Looks to be well made, certainly on par, if not better than competitive catchers. On brass catchers like these, there are concerns expressed about the netting not being able to constantly holding up to the hot brass ejecting into it. I used a HDPE plastic milk bottle to cut a sheet that fits the back of the catcher frame where the ejected brass hit. Easy to make, I used small zip ties to attach it he frame... works great.
