I have over 20 years of buiding wooden model ships, boats, and plastic models and this is my favorite! When I received the model, it came in a very nice plastic box. The instructions were in photos and very easy to follow. The quality of the laser cut parts are superb. The tolerances are so tight, you could build this model without glue, although I highly recommend using CA glues for structural integrity. As far as equipment goes, a razor sharp Xato knife would be benificial, and pretty much that’s all. I highly recommend this kit to novices and expert’s alike! Cheers! Review: Needs glue - It was fun putting together, very easy instructions, my only problem was the pieces do not snap together and stay in place. I basically glued it together. The wood is very sturdy compared to other projects I did.
