Plugged them directly into my iPad to binge CSI and they were great! Picked up all the highs and lows in that show & YouTube videos were awesome as well. Purposely picked a variety of music and everything sounded fantastic! Not sure about the noise reduction yet as it was pretty quiet tonight, but that will change & I will update! I think this was a great price point and excellent value! Update: I don’t think they “reduce ambient noise” significantly, but I do still really like these. Love not needing the dongle adapter, also really like the volume/pause control. It is just below your chin so it’s really easy to access. *January 23, 2020: Purchased 4 months ago and today the plug came apart. In my iPad! At first they weren’t working like I didn’t have them plugged in all the way. The 3rd time or so that I retried plugging them in, they still were not working and then the metal piece stayed in my iPad & the rest came out. Fortunately I was able to pull it out with my fingers. NOT HAPPY! Really like these too...Amazon gave me vendors email so I can find out regarding warranty. Hoping they will at least send a replacement since I’m already beyond the refund timing. Will update. I did not pay additional money for a warranty. Since I need headphones I ordered these, PALOVUE Earflow in-Ear Lightning Headphones Magnetic Earphones, this was the pair I was going to get initially but got these instead. Every pair I’ve researched has negatives but the Palovue’s have about 75% positive reviews and a year warranty so I went that route. And they aren’t terribly expensive at $22. *January 26, 2020: The vendor response was fantastic! I received my replacement headphones in the mail today which makes this a 3 day turnaround from when I first contacted them. I used the product support option, talked with Amazon digitally, got the vendor email and went from there. Their service moved my review back up to 3 stars. I initially had my review at 4, put it down to 1 when they broke, but the customer support puts it back to 3 because I really do like these headphones. They stand by their one year warranty. The replacement pair I purchased, listed above, is not worth it. I was disappointed. The magnetic earbuds are the best feature. They are my backup pair. I have found with the numerous reviews I’ve read that the plug in breaking like I had is fairly common. I read it about the other brand I bought too. I honestly don’t understand why when lightning plug technology is there with charging cables, they just can’t seem to get this right...baffling. ### ⭐ They work great! Then... months later, the lightning USB connection disconnected from the cord and snapped off inside my phone.
