Anyone know what the opto IC manufacturer and part number are?** A: The optos are labeled L217-A with a small lettering H39. **Q: Does it really need pwm signal to control it, or just any gpio signal would do? since it's just on or off, no need to dim the load.** A: Inputs are simple isolated optocouplers (just + and -). I am using with 5 volts (more or less) signals in my application. PWM inputs are an option that you yourself must generate. Output/input leds were activated with a 3 volt input during bench test. Of course input current increases with input voltage. [ I may have rated this circuit too high. Note that incorrect transistor mounting/pads/connections are used. Note also that this circuit is not back EMF protected for inductive loads.] **Q: Do you need a fuse between the device (say a motor) and the output of this board, or will the board handle any power issues?** A: You need inductive load protection if PWM'ing a motor. I suspect that heat will be the first load limit encountered. Don't believe the stated output current for any long duration of time. Which results in optocoupler input current about 3.3 mA. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ must be over 3.9V input to function *by B***9 on October 6, 2025* As others have posted here, these work well if you have a trigger voltage over 3.9V, these will not work with an input voltage less than that which is posted incorrectly in the description. I knew this ahead of time because a co-worker bought theses and sent them back because of it. I only use a 5V input so these work fine. It would be nice if there was another mounting hole on the side opposite the 2 holes.
