This set is a great bang for your buck.I do a lot of baking, and cooking. I feel like even the largest mixing bowl is not big/deep enough for me.... But I also make batches of 120 cookies at a time so? Probably perfect for you if you make "normal" amounts of things.The colander is just big enough to strain a 1lb box of pasta, with possibly a piece or two falling overboard. I feel this should be common sense, but just in case: if you dump something boiling into the colander.... It is metal and will be hot. Duh!The covers fit snug, almost airtight but not really. Honestly perfect to make a family salad and store in the fridge a couple days.The measuring cups are accurate, and cheaply made. I expected that, and they get the job done. I will probably replace them in 3 or 4 months with a better set. The plastic measuring part feels like it might fall off the metal handle if you play rough/throw them in the sink or have a tendency to drop things.Maybe it's because I haven't been around long enough on the planet to know, but I have no idea what these tiny prep bowls are for. They look like the kind people use in those recipe videos on Tasty/Social Media...
