This one is made with black henna, which I am not familiar with but reviews said it covered gray for blondes so I tried it. After using both of them, I am not sure which one I like better. The first one put a slight color over the grey and this one did a better job in that department. I did have a slight stinging, but very slight and I have allergies to pollen, etc. It quickly went away in the test and also on my scalp.You get several extras like shampoo and a conditioner to make the color last. There is also finishing liquid to put on with a couple of oils. My hair is thinning so I left that on all night after finishing with the coloring. The oil conditioner is serious about staying as I washed my hair and then washed again after drying but it made my hair feel wonderful. The only thing that did not go according to plan was that my hair had much more strawberry blonde, and was almost red for two days, It is one week later and it is now the golden blonde that was marked on the label. That, and the fear that it might wash out pretty fast was my reason for 4 stars. If it holds it;s color I will edit that rating. I do hope it does because this really does make your hair nicer rather than damaging it. OH. This does not leave clumps of henna that stops up some drains. It is pink that turns brown so I used the laundry room tub to save the bathroom sink from possible stains, but it wiped right up. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Very gentle, smells good *by T***D on Reviewed in the United States on July 28, 2017* This is the 4th or 5th time I have used this, in Medium Golden Blonde. I really like it. It is very gentle, and no harsh ammonia smell. My scalp doesn't tingle or burn after I use it, and my hair doesn't fall out like when I was using L'Oréal Preference. I have naturally light brown (and gray 😉) hair. It comes out a little bit more golden than I prefer. And it comes with 3 little bottles of shampoo, conditioner, and oil. The argon hair oil is the BEST thing I have ever put on my hair!!!! I love it!Only 4 stars because : a). At $27 a box, it is too expensive. Better than a salon, I suppose. And b). Because sometimes the color is a little different. I've had 2-3 boxes where it came out perfect, and 2 boxes where it came out distinctly more gold/brassy. The color of the mixed liquid in the bottle even looks redder than the other times. This is doing everything exactly the same way. Do they have a hard time getting the same ingredients consistently? So far, so good, but it is a little disturbing! What if it comes out pink?? I'm in transition, my hair was dark brown, was a and its hard for my hair to lift so I used a 30 volume developer. After application, I put a shower cap on for 30 minutes to saturate and it worked.
