Create your own USS Constitution ship in a bottle! Includes all the pieces to make 1 ship (tools and glue not included). Ages 12 and up.

Review: Very easy - This model is pretty easy to make, there's online videos you can follow if the paper ever gets a little confusing, the only difficult part is putting holes in the toothpicks. So maybe buy a few extra if that is an especially difficult part for you but otherwise it looks great and is very high quality. Even without sails this boat looks great!
Review: Rigging of the ship incorrect - The Bottle is too short (length) will not fit with recommended measurements of the two Mizzen gaffs. the bottle it too short (height), the large mast will not fit. Cut to 2.260 measured from the bottom of the ship. Line K will not allow the mast to collapse. A solution is leave the line connected to the bottom of foremast long and not tied to the fore mast. This will be a second pull string to rise the masts. Then glue and cut. difficulty is advanced due to the errors. would be nice if the ship was larger and bottle matched better.

I got this as a gift for someone who mentioned they always wanted to do one. I think he’ll enjoy it. It was delivered quickly. We shall see what he thinks about it on Christmas. It looks challenging but fun.
