As a game itself, both my 3 year old daughter and 6 year old son love it. They initially tried assembling this themselves but as it wasn't as easy as it seemed I had to take over. The actual card faces are relatively thin but not so thin that they fall out of the holders. The plastic holders don't all stand up so easily, some sort of get jammed when flipping them so need a little help to sit up.
