It’s audio is certainly better than my standard tv speakers but still tinny. The remote and the ability to control volume remotely are the reason for my reduced stars. The remote is bad and that’s generous. It does not work consistently and yes the plastic has been removed- you have to find the right angle and you have to be close which defeats the purpose. You have to be on the side of the volume knob at the proper angle to be more specific- and even then it’s hard to recreate to any semblance of consistency. If you don’t mind standing to change your volume to get a discount- then by all means.
