So I took a chance I thought I would just take the case apart and transfer the new cell to my case and make whatever wire adjustments as necessary, turns out the third contact was just another negative terminal, I assume the battery was adjusted to fit more drill types. Mfg.'s should put that info. in their advertisement so people would know. Anyway, not to worry the 3 contact battery will replace the 2 contact battery just fine. The voltage is exactly the say when connecting the negative test meter wire to either negative contact on the battery. Hope this helps someone out there, who's been desperately searching for the right battery. ### ⭐ Not charged upon arrival, Would not charge *by V***I on Reviewed in the United States on February 24, 2020* We bought one of these a few months ago and it 'died'/would not charge so my husband asked me to buy a replacement (this order). It was not charged upon arrival. When my husband put it on the charger (which charges others fine) it went to 'Defective' code. Not worth the hassle to return and he already got rid of the packaging, so lesson learned.
