Is that correct?** A: Wi-fi only on this model but there are non-smart frames available from this manufacturer which use memory cards/usb and don't need Wi-Fi. **Q: After loading photos onto this, can you disconnect it from Wi-Fi permanently and have it continue to display photos?** A: My Farher in law had his disconnect for some months and had no clue until we said we had added more pictures for him. We set it up before giving him it and it looked like he never set it up on his WiFi. Bringing family photos into her living room has added an extra dimension to her life. ### ⭐ Since introduced mandatory subscription… *by T***M on 25 April 2025* I paid £200 for this photo frame - not cheap! - on the basis I could store as many photographs as I wanted on it. Nixplay has now introduced a mandatory subscription if I want to continue using the photoframe with more than 0.5GB of photographs. 0.5GB is puny! A typical SD card holds way more. It’s a poor show of Nixplay, and I feel worse because I’ve gifted these to family members too. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Not without drawbacks *by •***• on 20 January 2020* The picture quality is fantastic, but setting up playlists is a bit of a pain. My favourite method is to use Google albums, which provides some dynamic flexibility.Sadly, there is no access to your LAN, and no sd card slot. DLNA is impossible, a shame.
