## Questions & Answers

**Q: Is this compatible with 2006 nissan titan se v8 5.6l automatic transmission ?**
A: I bought it for a 3.5 liter v6. I dont know if it's the same part for a v8.

**Q: Will this one fit nissan quest 2008? Is this new?**
A: If it has the 3.5L V6 engine it will fit.

**Q: will these sensor fix my vdc off and slip light... on my 2006 infiniti g35 coupe thanks**
A: I had a slip light and vdc off light also. On 2006 Murano. New camshaft position sensors took care of those also in my case.

**Q: Is this what would cause your car not to go into gear properly?**
A: Camshaft sensor can prevent car from starting, it is responsible for coordinating fuel injectors with engine camshaft position. If its shifting improperly it is probably the vehicle speed sensor (VSS) that tells transmission when to shift gears. I have experienced/replaced both.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Nissan/Infiniti Camshaft Sensors - What It Says on the Tin
*by J***H on December 20, 2021*

I bought these after getting the common P0340 code. Putting aside the tedious, and time consuming task of getting to the rear of the engine (R51 Pathfinder), while laying on top of the engine to make the swap, the sensors have given me no issues for two nights, and several miles of driving. Not sure what others reviewers experienced, but personally, I disconnected each bolt, disconnected each sensor from each connector, and then prepared the new sensors for installation, one by one as I removed the old sensors. For each new sensor, I added a small amount of oil as lubricant for the O rings (you may wanna use grease, YMMV), and proceeded to mount them into their respective places on the engine.I do wonder if other reviewers didn't fully seat the sensor into the engine, and if that caused issues. It is wise to push the sensor all the way in, such that the mount for the bolt on the sensor is flush with the engine. In addition, I started the car, it started without delay, and then using an OBD scanner, I cleared the old code and took it for a test drive. My only complaint about this sensor combo is the lack of lubricant for the O rings, but that's a minor inconvenience.Good luck to anyone looking for these sensors to make the fix to their vehicle!

### ⭐ You get what you pay for…..
*by E***E on June 3, 2022*

You get what you pay for. I purchased the set of cam position sensors for a 2005 Nissan Murano. Installation is of course what you’d expect for the transverse VQ35 motor. Sensors needed some lubrication added to the oring to allow ease of complete insertion.Driving normal and fine after installation to replace failed OEM part. Part arrived quickly on 01May2022 and everything was fine…… until tonight. Driving home late at night after a very long shift I started experiencing the shuttering/surging and lights for several systems lit up by about 1/2 way home on 02JUN2022 @ 2357 (1157PM). Pulled over on shoulder in a rural part of town and had to check it out as Murano wouldn’t start again. This essentially left me stranded at midnight in a now too well traveled road at night to deal with. Luckily I had a flashlight handy and some tools available to start with a plan. After several attempts, there was no start and the code was “P0345 Camshate Position Sensor A Circuit” meaning this was next to the firewall and throttlebody.I started off by disconnecting my battery for a few minutes to help drain all potential energy from all circuit. After reconnection, I attempt to start my Murano and it starts and I gather all my items and head home to write this review. If this would have happened two days earlier, I could have returned it, but no, the return date closed on 31May2022 (2days prior) and now I’m stuck with faulty parts that are not reliable to continue on with.Do yourself a favor and learn from my experience and the experience or others having similar issues with sensors just dying on them. Buy a reputable branded cam positioning sensor from a well known manufacturer of sensors. For those wondering if it was inserted correctly and connected, yes it was and if not the oil would leak and not detect the cam during rotation. I’ve worked on cars for a very long time and experienced the crank position sensor on an XJ body jeep and endured the spare plug replacement procedure twice on the Murano.I recommend to not buy. If you buy, expect failure soon after installation/receiving of goods as mine was just 2 days after return order closed. If you do decide to buy anyways, I suggest keeping Old sensors as emergency backups in the vehicle with some tools and a light. You’re probably wondering why keep the old intermittent sensor…..it can help you get home compared to just being stranded.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Exact replacement fit.
*by D***D on May 22, 2023*

My code reader said the cam position sensor on my 2004 Nissan Murano was bad on bank 1 which is on the back side of the engine. I recommend removing the air box plumbing next between the air filet and fire wall to allow you to have better access to that sensor. Front sensor does not require removal. I replaced both since that was recommended. Perfect fit and seems to working well.I called Autozone and was going to have to pay $130 for both sensors. I saved $100!
