Plus it actually had AM radio which seems to be a thing of the past in the larger units. Unfortunately, the local AM station I listen to would not come in with it and just gets a lot of static, but does pick up other AM stations fine. I had planned on retiring my old tried and true Sony, but I will just keep it alongside the Riptunes radio for the talk radio station. So I knocked off one star because of the AM static issue. Don't have any cassettes these days to try and haven't messed with the shortwave bands.
