Installing the JJC Thumb Grip cured this immediately. It also makes holding the little Ricoh single handed more secure. It is marginally harder to turn the camera on and off but this is a small price to pay for the benefits. As always JJC camera accessories are well made and fit the camera perfectly. Review: Works good on eos m3 too - Bought the gr3 version for my canon eos m3 and it works great on that camera too. With some blu tack under the hot shoe it stays in place reasonably well and provides a good bit of extra grip when shooting in portrait.
