The stud key for the original Adidas studs was too small for these ones. They have a larger diameter at the tip of the stud than the more pointy original ones, and therefore the key does not fit over them. I had an old key for classic rugby studs, and it was way too big. So I had to find the old style metal key (see photo). Looks a like a small spanner. Fortunately this worked well. So take care you have the right kind of stud key!
