Review: Well designed, integrated weight distribution, anti-sway hitch. Plus: TIP for lining up the hitch ball with the triangle plate - I compared the designs of all the other anti-sway and weight distribution hitches on the market. The Andersen "No-Sway" Weight Distribution hitch appeared to be the best and relatively straightforward design. Not having to deal with torsion bars and not having to do something extra prior to backing up are pluses. I purchased it 4 months ago for my 19' travel trailer and installed it myself in less than two hours (could have probably done it faster, but I kept re-reading the instructions to make sure I did not miss a step). So far, it appears to work quite well. No problems driving down winding, mountain roads. I haven't had a chance to experience any severe sway inducing conditions, like having to pass a tractor trailer under heavy cross-wind, but the design seems sound and my wife is comforted knowing we have anti-sway (one of the major reasons for buying the hitch :) ). The chains and rubber compression "springs" do effectively distribute the weight. You can tell as the chains become taut as you lower the weight onto the hitch ball. I have been able to attach and remove the bottom triangle plate without having to loosen the screws simply by lowering the trailer jack to remove the weight from the hitch, and pulling out the pin when the chains are slack. NOTE: My trailer is fairly light compared to the max. weight rating for the 3324 hitch (10,000 lb. GVWR) vs. my trailer (3,800 lb. GVWR), so your experience may differ. Reattaching the triangle plate of the hitch can be a little tricky. If you move the tow vehicle and do not re-hitch it at the same angle, the holes for the pin on the bottom of the hitch ball may not line up with the holes on the triangular plate. You can sometimes loosen the nut on one side until there is enough slack to line up the holes, but sometimes the angle is too much and you have to remove one of the chains temporarily. (This entire process is normal and described in the instructions booklet.) However, I found an easier way... TIP: If you purchase a 5/8" x 36" round steel rod from your hardware store, you can insert one end in the bottom hole of the hitch ball and use the rod to gently turn the hitch ball until it lines up with the holes in the triangular plate. Problem solved! Pros: * Well designed and solidly built * Can install yourself if you are handy * No need to disconnect anti-sway friction / torsion bars prior to backing up * Works! * Installation instructions are well written. * You can download sizing information and full instructions from the [...] Cons: * Reconnecting triangular plate can sometimes be tricky, but not if you use a steel rod (see TIP above)

**Q: How does this system perform when making tight turns, such as in a parking lot? (With a friction-type system, I often have to loosen the friction.)**
A: Not with this system, you won't. You can take tight turns on either direction without any difficulties. There is no issue backing up either.  You can actually feel the difference when driving in the highways specially diwn hills. Great system

**Q: Can i buy a replscement triangle?**
A: Yes, that is part number is 3356. However, depending on what happened to the triangle plate, we may be able to warranty you out a new one. Please contact us on a customer service line through our website.

**Q: Will this work on 2003 forest river wildcat?**
A: It will work on any Travel Trailer with a maximum tongue weight of 1,100 LBS. The hitch is awesome.

**Q: How large of a trailer frame will this allow?**
A: I believe it will fit 3” to 6” frames. It fits my 6” frame.

I compared the designs of all the other anti-sway and weight distribution hitches on the market. The Andersen "No-Sway" Weight Distribution hitch appeared to be the best and relatively straightforward design. Not having to deal with torsion bars and not having to do something extra prior to backing up are pluses. I purchased it 4 months ago for my 19' travel trailer and installed it myself in less than two hours (could have probably done it faster, but I kept re-reading the instructions to make sure I did not miss a step). So far, it appears to work quite well. No problems driving down winding, mountain roads. I haven't had a chance to experience any severe sway inducing conditions, like having to pass a tractor trailer under heavy cross-wind, but the design seems sound and my wife is comforted knowing we have anti-sway (one of the major reasons for buying the hitch :) ). The chains and rubber compression "springs" do effectively distribute the weight. You can tell as the chains become taut as you lower the weight onto the hitch ball. I have been able to attach and remove the bottom triangle plate without having to loosen the screws simply by lowering the trailer jack to remove the weight from the hitch, and pulling out the pin when the chains are slack. NOTE: My trailer is fairly light compared to the max. weight rating for the 3324 hitch (10,000 lb. GVWR) vs. my trailer (3,800 lb. GVWR), so your experience may differ. Reattaching the triangle plate of the hitch can be a little tricky. If you move the tow vehicle and do not re-hitch it at the same angle, the holes for the pin on the bottom of the hitch ball may not line up with the holes on the triangular plate. Amazing system & American engineering! No noise & unifies trailer & truck like its 1 unit eliminates bounce and no sway this system feels very sturdy & stable have a single axle toy hauler @ 21ft 3500lbs dry & I tow 2 quads in the trailer garage & wanted something that I could back up without un attaching plus a system my wife could easily attach, this weight distribution system you can attach & re-attach in 15 secs flat with no bars to carry or cumbersome pry bar tensioning process. Tow Vehicle is a 2016 f-150 with a 5.5ft bed(super short tow vehicle). Trailer is a 2021 Keystone hideout 21BHWE for reference. I pulled the trailer a handful of times prior to buying the WD hitch and the sway wasn’t bad at all if the wind wasn’t blowing. If a moderate breeze picked up the sway was basically out of control to run the speed limit. (Living in Idaho you’ll be extremely lucky if the wind isn’t blowing, so I decided to but a WD anti-sway hitch.) I did a lot of research comparing brands and styles and their corresponding prices. I looked at several of the torsion bar styles but always ended up coming back to this hitch. Through reading all the reviews on this company and their hitch I’d decided that based on their customer support reviews alone I’d be going with them. I placed my order through Mr. Bezos’ Monopoly as we have a prime account and it was going to save me $20. Ten days later plus or minus it arrived at my house. I immediately opened it up and began to assemble it to the trailer and pickup. The directions were very thorough and pretty easy to follow. They want you to mount the trailer brackets between 28-29 inches back from the center of the ball so I shot for the middle at 28.5 inches. After completion of assembly and coupling the pickup and trailer it seemed like I should have mounted it closer to the 29 inch mark as I was nearly out of adjustment after tightening down the chain nuts adjustment. I’ll add in here that when I received the package it did not come with the pin that holds the triangle to the base of the ball. I emailed Andersen customer support that night and had an answer that night. The only question they asked me was, “what is a good address for you?” To send me the pin. Fast forward to today, about a week after I emailed them about the missing pin, and a package arrived at My house containing not one but two of the pins that I had initially not received. The hitch has instilled a newfound confidence in me when pulling the trailer in a decent wind(10-15mph) at highway speeds. Seems to be working very well I’m terms of anti sway and in terms of the herky jerky bounce going down the road. Customer service is excellent and I won’t be buying a different WD from anyone else so long as they’re in business. I will update if anything changes. Buy it, you’ll be glad you did!
