There were no defects, it was packaged beautifully, and no plastic smell from airtight packing. It is not heavy in single layer but very cozy and comforting. I was not looking for a plush bulky blanket which this is not thereby its perfect for what I was looking for. Perfect snuggling blanket and accent for a chase, bed, couch, stool. The material stretches so a whole family can fit under it and the Pom poms weigh it down nicely giving the blanket it’s comforting feeling. The pom poms are adorable and for some inexplicable reason give the whole family something to smile at. I am ordering another one in white.
