Very easy to install just roll on toes like a sock with stretch to fit diameter. The inside gel is thick enough to cushion and sticky enough to keep in place with no added tape or adhesives. I thought about buying the much cheaper "sleeve" versions and sewing the ends but would only add possible irritation at seam. These caps are pre-molded to cover end of toe with no "bump" and long enough to cut to fit most toe lengths and sizes including pinky. As noted they do clean via hand washing and I recommend "rotating" position each day as areas of the gel do thin if kept in same pressure place/points--thus getter more uses per cap. Just FYI I spent days researching options and only found two brands available as caps in personal quantities not hospital bulk. Little shocked at the price but when mom puts them on and sighs with relief they are well worth every penny.
