I would say rain actually affect the connection more than a heavy snowfall. **Q: I am looking to connect two sites which are 10miles away from each other. Will this work over 10miles??** A: Rich, If you have line of site these radios will work great. I currently have two sets of them, 1 goes about 1.5 miles and the other about 7 miles.
