I estimated the weight rating, and ended up with lifts a little too strong. I have to pull hard to close the undercover on my truck, but that's on me, for not getting the correct weight rating (the originals had no weight rating, so I guessed, based on the weight of the undercover).I would still buy more of these, and may just replace them with lighter-duty ones.
