The thickness felt the same, as did the suppleness. Even the color matched! Didn't notice any hole punctures or rips when I was done. They performed as well as expected. This is important to me because skin will absorb chemicals. It's not as quick as ingesting them, but when skin has a long exposure there is plenty of time to absorb it. Having any cuts or abrasions in the skin just makes it worse. Not sure why there were such bad reviews. Perhaps the initial run was too thin and ripped? Then they corrected it in the next batch? Can't say.
