It comes with an NTFS driver for Mac OS so I've left it formatted as NTFS but read and write to it from my Mac. It's powered by the USB cable (admittedly most are) so it very easy to use - just plug it in to USB, no power adapter needed (it also worked with a Raspberry Pi so it appear to be power efficient). I am very impressed with this product - it did need reformatting to work with my MacBook but its a quick and easy fix! Overall will be very handy to save all my files on for the foreseeable future! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Cheap but far from nasty *by A***R on 25 June 2019* This appears to be a very well made, and very slim, external hard drive - the top is metal and the base is plastic. The only negative so far is very minor - the base doesn't have any rubber pads or inserts like some other makes, so the drive could slide around on the desk. I haven't rated durability because only time will tell, but so far I'm very happy with my external hard drive.
