The contact lens will adhere to the soft suction cup and will come off the eye easily. After the lens is removed from the eye, gently slide it from the suction cup. It takes a little practice for timing to activate the suction properly to remove the lens with this DMV one, but better functionality overall. Just squeeze to release the suction! My 'removal plunger' from the Dr was not 'vented', so I had to squeeze the tiny sides to release the lens. This one is 'vented', so when you squeeze it, it gently releases the lens.
