It doesn't show but this is an actual shock mount with a rubber stage inbetween the mount and the camera cold shoe. So it's not a rigid mount that would transmit sound. It's actually a real shock mount that does jiggle but is sturdy enough to hold a decent sized mic. Works great on my custom rig. It is a little on the tall side so that would be my only ding. There is strength to hold the dead cat wind screen nicely. This product will also hold larger mics.
