He’s had skin cancer surgery on one of his ears and needs to keep it out of the sun. He’s worn a baseball cap for many years which protected his scalp from the sun but of course, it didn’t help his ears.This Fedora hat has a wide rim and does the job of protecting the ears from the sun. I wasn’t sure if he was going to like it and to be honest, I wasn’t sure if it would suit him. It was hard to resist to ask him where his horse was but I managed to control myself. Seriously though, it doesn’t look half bad on him.I measured his head using a tape measure just above the ears and it measured 59cm. So, I ordered the L(59cm) size and it fits perfectly. So, their sizing is about right.The hat comes packed in a tube which can be used for travelling. Getting the shape you want is quite easy as the material stays in place pretty well. Overall, a quality Fedora hat at a very reasonable price. It was a plain cardboard tube, which you can choose to reuse or not. As for the hat itself I pulled it out sat it on the table and misted it with a bit of water. 10-15 min later it was shaped dry and ready to wear.I can't say this enough, for 15 quid it exceeded expectations. It looks good, fits really well, also held up in the wind.
