It will attach to the outside of the syringe and you can push fluid or what ever you are trying to filter through it into another container, Hope this helps. **Q: How many times can one be used?** A: technically just once if your are filtering for sterility. **Q: I know the membrane is pdfv but are they hydrophobic or hydrophilic?** A: They are meant to filter organic substances. Oils and such. Depending on if u need 0.45 or 0.22 micron, water would filter just fine. **Q: Does this filter have Luer Lock fittings on both ends? or is one end a slip fitting?** A: The prefilter end is luer, the post filter side is slip tip.
