I have not seen the LEGO movie, and the last time I played with actual legos was well before they had kits where you build specific items - like a tie fighter or a death star (Yes, I am that old!) That being said, the LEGO movie game has some fun new tweaks. First the colors are spectacular - almost breathtaking. Second, lots of new characters. Third and maybe the most fun, as Emmett, you have to find blueprints and build stuff - and to do that they show you a lego piece and you have to pick it off the list - the quicker you can do that the more studs you get. If you have every built a lego kit, this will probably be easy for you (or your five year old), but for me it was a bit of a challenge at first. I have only done 3 or 4 levels, but I am enjoying the game. I may even go see the LEGO Movie! It is getting great reviews!
