We tried it on Androiod, iOS and Windows.The instructions were terrible and inaccurate. The video quality was choppy and pixelated. The unit would sometimes reboot itself in the middle of a cast. Other times it wouldn't work at all; I had to reset the unit and set it up all over again. So, I returned that one for a refund. Sounded fishy but I thought I would give it a try. It was a different looking unit so I assumed it was made by a different company. Well, I was wrong. The interface is the same, the lousy instructions are the same and the lousy picture quality is the same. I believe it's the exact same product in a different box. As I write this review, this product now has 7% 1 star ratings. People are figuring this out. I'd like to know how it got so many 5 star reviews to start with. Again, sounds fishy.About the security risk. This unit is a mini-wifi router. It broadcasts an SSID and there is a (well known) password to connect to it. Then, you have to connect to your home router entering its SSID and password. So, for example, your Android device uses wifi to connect to this unit. The unit then connects to the HDMI port on one side and then connects to your home router on the other side to get internet. This has to be increasing the wifi bandwidth (and slowing things down) a tremendous amount.I saw nothing in the instructions on how to change the SSID or password. Any router that you buy will warn you to change your default password. There is nothing about this in the instructions. Perhaps it can be done, but I didn't see how and the product was so lousy I didn't want to spend any more time on it. If the SSID/password is not changed, that means that anyone who is within range can tap into your home network on the INSIDE of your router firewall. They can also use your internet connection without restriction.Lousy product, lousy instructions, huge security risk. Need I say more? Don't buy this!!! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ APPLE devices: OK. Android better *by D***K on Reviewed in the United States on November 24, 2019* Update: Great support from seller.Concept is good BUT Apple still makes it hard for this and another one I bought to work reliably. Just Apple making it hard for everyone to do what makes sense. Desire just a plug and play level of device. Bought it after problems with a cheaper brand. Wanted it for large screen email and web stuff in a larger screen from iPhone or iPads Which works. Used latest IOS 13.2.3 that now supports mouse and keyboard. If you try streaming YouTube and Netflix...it works when you are lucky. I really do think it is Apple trying to control us and is not a bad device that seems to work well on my old Android devices using direct to dangle streaming. Apple goes through the WiFi router. I guess Apple just wants you to buy APPLE TV device @ $150-200. Price is not my concern, it is bulk to carry around Apple TV box as a portable setup for traveling desk top computer setup and occasional Netflix streaming at a hotel. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Minimal instructions, but able to figure out *by B***R on Reviewed in the United States on December 12, 2019* I selected this model because it was the lightest one listed, and got good reviews. It seems to work fine, but instructions were so minimal that set-up was a bit tricky. It seemed to take some considerable time for the start screen to come up on my TV screen, but once that appeared it was fairly easy to finish the setup. Now it comes up right away.Part of the problem may have been that my smart TV, and LG, was quite new to me and came with almost no useful instructions, and that made things more challenging. Once I was able to get the thing set up and connected to my iphone, it mirrored the screen well and showed my photos on the big screen, which was my goal. It picks up the sound well from the slide show too, so I'd have to say it works great.Once I figured out where the screen mirror function was on my iphone, it was easy, and though i downloaded the recommended app I haven't had to use it. In short, this thing does what they say it does, and so far has stayed connected.
